신풍역 근처에 위치한 호수삼계탕
신풍역 4번출구에서 큰길을 쭉 타고 올라오다보면 초록색간판의 호수삼계탕이 보입니다. 1990년 문을 연 호수삼계탕은 30년이 넘는 시간동안 꾸준히 영업을 해오고 있는데요. 약간 색이 바랜듯한 초록색 간판이 이곳이 얼마나 오래된 맛집인지를 증명해주고 있었습니다.
제가 방문한 날은 말복 전날이었는데 복날을 맞아 미리 삼계탕을 먹으로 온 사람들로 문전성시를 이루고 있었습니다. 평일 이른 점심즈음에 도착했음에도 길게 줄이 늘어서 있어 30분정도 웨이팅끝에 입장할 수 있었습니다. 복날이라는 특수한 상황이 아니면 이정도로 웨이팅이 있는 곳은 아니기에 평소에는 부담없이 방문하시면 좋을 것 같네요.

호수삼계탕은 인기가 많은만큼 그 주차공간도 넓은 편입니다. 보통은 가게 옆의 주차공간을 사용하지만 주말이나 학교가 방학중일 때는 뒤에있는 초등학교의 운동장을 빌려 주차장으로 활용하더라구요. 그만큼 넓은 주차공간이 있으니 차를 가지고 방문하셨을 때 주차걱정은 전혀 없는 곳이 바로 호수삼계탕입니다.
깔끔한 내부공간
호수 삼계탕의 내부공간은 굉장히 깔끔한편입니다. 1990년부터 영업을 하다보니 건물 자체는 오래되었지만 내부는 정말 깔끔하게 잘 유지하고 계시더라구요. 바닥은 깔끔하게 장판이 깔려있고 입구부터 입식테이블이 쫙 깔려있습니다.
구석 방에는 바닥에 앉아서 먹을 수 있는 좌식테이블이 있는 방도 몇몇있습니다. 사람이 너무 많아 자세한 사진을 찍기는 어려웠지만 안의 좌석도 굉장히 많아 정말 많은 사람들을 수용할 수 있을정도 였습니다.

자리에 앉아 조금 기다리니 바로 호수삼계탕의 삼계탕이 나왔습니다. 이곳의 삼계탕은 국물에 들깨, 찹쌀, 땅콩 등의 가루를 첨가해서 약간 들깨죽같은 걸쭉한 국물이 특징입니다.
걸쭉한 국물을 한입 떠먹으면 담백하면서도 진한 들깨의 향이 입안가득 느껴집니다. 그렇다고 들깨 입자가 느껴지거나하는 거친 느낌은 전혀 없습니다. 삼계탕 국물과 들깨가 합쳐지다보니 정말 푹 고아낸 진한 들깨죽을 먹는느낌? 이런 진한 국물이 본격적으로 음식이 들어가기전에 위장을 편안하게 만들어줍니다.
뽀얀 국물 사이에는 작은 닭이 한마리 들어있습니다. 정확이 몇호인지는 모르겠지만 아남 삼계탕에 자주쓰이는 작은 닭인 5호나 6호 닭이 아닐까 싶네요. 닭 안에는 찹쌀밥이 가득 들어있습니다.
푹 잘 익은 닭을 진한 들깨국물과 함께 먹는 것이 이곳 호수삼계탕의 진정한 묘미가 아닐까 싶습니다. 들깨향 가득한 걸쭉하면서도 진한 국물과 부드러운 닭고기가 정말 잘 어울립니다.
닭고기뿐만 아니라 안에 들어있는 밥과도 정말 찰떡궁합입니다. 약간 호불호는 갈릴 수 있겠지만 저에게는 먹고 나서 계속 생각나는 그런 맛이더라구요.

신풍역 맛집 호수삼계탕을 방문했습니다. 서울 3대 삼계탕이라는 명성에 뒤지지 않게 뛰어난 퀄리티를 자랑하는 그런 삼계탕을 만날 수 있었습니다. 특히 호수삼계탕에서 판매하고 있는 이 들깨삼계탕은 걸쭉하면서 진한 국물을 좋아하는 제 취향에는 정말 딱 맞더라구요.
